1970 Dauphin

The Dauphin snowmobile was only made for 3 years from 1969 through 1971. The Dauphin was manufactured by Les Industries Dauphin Ltd. of Grand’Mere, Quebec, Canada. This is the D1150 model which was powered by a 246cc Hirth engine. The seats were very elaborate with the Dauphin design engraved. Dauphin also built the Manhandler snowmobile for J.C. Penney’s. The Dauphin line was bought out in 1971 by Dufrane Motors of Malone, New York to produce their own 1972 Sno-Chief (almost a clone).
