This snowmobile has the first one of only 10 740cc Sachs engines that were installed in the Rupp snowmobiles. The engine was originally built for use in a stationary power plant in Germany. Germany decided to send 30 to the U.S. 10 went to the Rupp manufacturers, 10 to Skiroule, and 10 to Scorpion. This sled was tested at the SS testing site in Wayland, MI, and has several SS test parts that are not on any other Rupp.
Rupps were made in Mansfield, OH.
