Oct 12. We just found out the 1966 Viking we have in here is being donated in memory of Bill Haske by his 2 sons, Russ and Todd! We are very honored to have it here.!!Charlie met Bill many years ago - they had something in common - the passion for Vikings. Here is our information about this machine.
Viking snowmobiles were manufactured from 1966-1968 in Ashland, WI and then moved to Twin Valley, MN in 1968 until 1976.
This Viking is #1 off the assembly line the first year they were produced. It is all original and the owner is the second owner.
In 1966 Viking designed a band brake which was more responsive than any other brake on the market. Their new ball joint steering provided for a stable, accurate and responsive steering, also eliminating common wear points
