2010 Snobike: This Snobike is the prototype of a four-person team's creativity and mechanical engineering skills for the Senior Design Project at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. It was designed as a kit to be used on any mountain bike, which is a major form of transportation on most university campuses. Their motivation was to create a way to ride a bike to class during the winter. We do have a DVD available that demonstrates the Snobike in action.
The team had some access to a track from Charlie Vallier when they first began, so we are very proud to display the finished product! All four students have graduated and moved on to further education or to a job in MI and PA. These four are; Matthew Brouwer, Justin Karsten, Jen Meneely, and Matt Milan.
