1968 Eaton Viking: In 1967, the Eaton Store Co. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, contracted with Polaris to produce the Viking snowmobile. There is very little information on this machine.
The 1968 Viking was the same model as the Larson, Sears and Hiawatha from Macloed's. There were 2 models of the Vikin: the MK-I (which is this machine) with a JLO, 292cc, 15.5 hp engine. It weighed 297 lbs and could pull a load of 800 lbs. It sold for $895.00.
The MK-II had a Hirth, 300cc, 16hp engine, an 18 in. track and weighed 465 lbs. It could pull a load of 1000 lbs and sold for $995.00.
